Sheila was born and raised in Calgary and has been a licensed Real Estate Agent since 2004. Real estate has always been a true passion of hers. She is one of the few inner-city specialists who can say she has successfully completed a commercial land assembly — painstakingly acquiring seven side-by-side 1910 character properties in the Marda Loop area.

 

She later rezoned the properties and opened the first CIR Realty satellite light office, cleverly named The Location Station — a nod to Marda Loop’s old trolley and the train station where it once turned around to head back downtown. Rather than seeing the homes demolished for high-rise development, Sheila sold the properties to seven of Calgary’s up-and-coming small businesses. In doing so, she and her business partner preserved a meaningful piece of Calgary’s inner-city history — buildings she is proud to know will stand for years to come.

 

Working in Calgary’s ever-changing real estate market with buyers, sellers, and investors has given Sheila in-depth knowledge of the city’s diverse communities. She stays ahead of the market by keeping informed about new developments and continually immersing herself in new challenges and projects.

 

Prior to her successful real estate career, Sheila owned and operated an all-female painting and decorating company. She was proud to be the youngest female journeyman painter in Canada and even prouder to have the opportunity to hire and mentor young women in difficult situations, learn trades and get ahead. During those years, she worked on high-end properties, some of which were featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, House & Home, and Avenue. She also personally bought, renovated, and flipped many unique properties — experience that gives her clients a distinct advantage when evaluating potential homes and investments.

 

Sheila is a skilled negotiator who always advocates for her clients. In her own words:
